Impact Virginia! extended to GrenadaPublished January 24, 2006
Projects in the nation of Grenada have been added to locations for this year’s Impact Virginia! Impact Virginia! is Virginia Baptists’ coed youth missions opportunity involving teenagers in hands-on ministry projects. Baptist youth from across the state join forces to make an impact on local communities through a variety of ministry projects, focusing primarily on home renovation and construction needs of low-income families. Working with the Grenada Baptist Association, youth will have opportunities during two weeks this summer: July 5-13 and July 13-21. Registration is limited to 60 people per project. For additional information, go to http://www.vbmb.org/ glocalmissions/impact.htm or contact Dean Miller at dean.miller@ vbmb.org. Participants in each Impact Virginia! project work all day on their sites under the supervision of construction coordinators and other adult leaders. Work includes painting, roofing, cleaning, interior/exterior renovation and general carpentry. Each location may also include one or two crews that focus on projects other than construction.
