Women’s Retreat at Cool Spring Baptist

If you think that desperate housewives and girls behaving badly are inventions of 21st century television, think again.

Errant, lascivious, conniving women have been around for a long time- and although the last place you might expect to find them would be the Bible, that’s the first place Liz Curtis Higgs wants you to look.

As the best-selling author of over 21 books including Bad Girls of the Bible and What We Can Learn from Them, Higgs will be the featured speaker for a women’s retreat at Cool Spring Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, on Sat., March 25, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

With plenty of her trademark humor and her gifts of encouragement and storytelling, Higgs will teach women of all ages-whatever their past-how to avoid tragic mistakes in the future, and joyfully embrace God’s grace.
