The president of the National Association of Evangelicals was quoted in a press release describing a survey indicating 68 percent of evangelicals say America is not a Christian nation.
“When the Vikings came here back in the old days, they brought with them the Christian gospel when they came back to Norway. We are giving a formal thank you on behalf of the Norwegian people to your ancestors and the people living in the northeast now.”

The member of a youth mission organization in Norway was among a group of Norwegians who sailed a replica of a Viking ship to northeast England to commemorate the introduction of Christianity to their country 1,000 years ago. He was quoted by the BBC.
“People are generally happier to have their money that they contribute to the church going to mission and ministry rather than to pay to fix the windows or the air conditioning or the plumbing.”
