RICHMOND, Va.—Glenn Maddox will join the staff of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board July 1 as mission events coordinator, just as the organization’s summer camp programs get into full swing.

Glenn Maddox
Maddox, who has been involved in VBMB mission events as a contract worker, assumes a full-time position as mission events and development coordinator in the board’s glocal missions team.

He will coordinate the board’s signature Impact! Mission Camps for youth and Transformers, a hands-on mission opportunity for adults. He also will initiate and implement experiential mission education events, including weekend mission simulations. For several years he has served as on-site coordinator for Impact Virginia!, now known as Impact! Mission Camps.

Maddox, who currently teaches in Chesterfield County (Va.) Public Schools, has held youth and education ministerial positions at Crozet (Va.) Baptist Church; Chesterfield Baptist Church in Moseley, Va.; and Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Beaverdam, Va.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and master’s degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond.

He and his wife, Jen, have one son.
