VBMB names Brooks as field strategist, Sunday school specialist |

RICHMOND, Va. -- Tony Brooks has joined the staff of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board as a field strategist for the board’s southside region and as a Sunday school specialist.
The southside region includes the Appomattox, Concord, Dan River, Pittsylvania and Southside Baptist associations.
A native of Alabama, Brooks most recently served as co-pastor of North Broad Street in Rome, Ga. Earlier, he was pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Va., and also has served churches in Whiteville, N.C., Louisville, Ky., and Talledega, Ala.
He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville and Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (Va.). He and his wife, Katrina, have two children.
