RICHMOND, Va. -- The Office of Stewardship Development at the Virginia Baptist Mission Board is sponsoring “Developing an Enduring Ministry,” March 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Baptist Resource Center.

The conference is designed around the theme of “Paying it Forward.” Various presenters will offer insights into tools and resources available to pastors and church financial leaders interested in developing enduring and effective ministries.

Ben Stroup, author of Church Giving Matters, will share his insights into the status of giving patterns in churches. He will discuss stewardship as a catalyst to bring about an enduring and sustainable ministry. Also presented will be the concept of digital and E giving that is becoming popular among churches. Those attending will receive a complimentary copy of Church Giving Matters.

Presenters speaking to the idea of “Paying it Forward” will represent GuideStone Financial Resources, the Virginia Baptist Foundation, the Virginia Baptist Development Office and Christian Financial Management. Each presenter will share information and resources available to those seeking to develop an enduring ministry.

Materials related to stewardship development, emphases, education and promotion will be demonstrated and made available. The biblical basis for an ongoing stewardship program will be presented.

For questions or to register, call Don Campbell at 1-800-255-2428, ext. 1223. There is no cost for luncheon, but registration would be helpful.
