I was saddened to read in the Jan. 28 edition of a Christian pastor practicing yoga. I am writing because many Christians do not understand that yoga involves more than just getting in to certain body positions and that it is not the health-boosting practice that it is purported to be.

I suspect many who oppose women pastors are also uncomfortable with the idea of Danica Patrick taking the checkered flag at Daytona. While they may resent and resist the changes, they cannot stop the sweep of time nor the call of the Spirit.

We are participating in and witnessing the evolution of media and content delivery. There are large numbers of people who are giving up traditional channels of entertainment in order to be entertained on their schedule and at their comfort and convenience. Churches, take note.

For far too long churches have attempted to dispense their most precious product while parked along the side of the road, hoping someone will drive by and want to pick up a jar or two. We have the greatest of products, but the roadside-stand model only takes us so far.
