OPINION: The pope, the world and our kids
Other Opinions
By Michael Poole
Thursday, March 21, 2013
The world has changed, and it’s not coming back. Not now, not ever. I’m not saying all changes are good, but there is much good that God is doing. If we fail to partner with God in this great work here and now, and if we only see the bad, if we cower in fear and hide from reality, then what’s left to offer our children?

OPINION: Baptists and Buddhists
Other Opinions
By Jim Somerville
Wednesday, March 20, 2013
When Superstorm Sandy pounded the coast a few months ago, Baptists were among those who raced north to provide relief. But they weren’t the only ones. People of different faiths and people of no faith at all were working alongside them to provide food, clothing and shelter for people who lost homes.

OPINION: Drowning in process
Other Opinions
By Lisa Cole Smith
Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Other Opinions
By John Chandler
Wednesday, March 20, 2013

OPINION: Worldviews and the contraceptive mandate opt-out
Other Opinions
By Jonathan Waits
Wednesday, March 20, 2013
Having followed much of the controversy surrounding what has become known as the contraceptive mandate, I was at first buoyed by the news that the Obama administration was going to offer a rule change. The original mandate was and is a gross violation of the First Amendment.

OPINION: Yoga and a Christianity for the body
Other Opinions
By Winn Collier
Monday, March 11, 2013
As a yoga neophyte, I have little vested interest in squabbles over whether Christianity is incompatible with yoga. However, part of the arc of the argument sometimes made — that Christian spirituality does not promote the human body as a means for connecting with God — gives me pause.

OPINION: Graceful ears
Other Opinions
By Brandon Hudson
Monday, March 11, 2013
Even before my hair started to go and betray me, migrating lower on my face and body while my head began to show through up top, my ears have always extended at a quite profound angle. I used to be embarrassed by them. They were large, and yet unlike Dumbo had not produced the ability to fly. Then I met my wife.
