OPINION: Louie Giglio and a call for dynamic faith
Other Opinions
By Alex Gallimore
Friday, January 25, 2013
As Christians, whether we be conservative or liberal, we should have enough faith in the mysterious work of the Holy Spirit to know that every new experience, discovery and life event brings about greater revelation and understanding of the Divine. Christian faith is never stagnant but transforming and evolving.

TRENDING: Lessons from Argentina, part 2: Cities
Other Opinions
By John Chandler
Friday, January 25, 2013

The United Nations predicts that by 2050, 64 percent of the developed world will be urban. People everywhere need to be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. But to reach the most people, we have to be where most of the people are — and that is in large cities.

Other Opinions
By Jim White

Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I re-read King’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Every so often I need to be reminded of deep truths so eloquently and timelessly expressed. King championed the cause of equality in his letter, but he also the cause of the church in which he expressed disappointment.

Other Opinions
By Bill Wilson

One trait that seems to be ever-present in thriving congregations but largely absent in dying congregations is energy, or passion. High levels of energy and passion for the gospel mark congregations who have been seized by the enormity of their mission and have given themselves fully to it.

OPINION: Remembering a simple country preacher
Other Opinions
By Susan Whitlow
Monday, January 21, 2013

John Houghton encouraged diversity of thought and lively dialogue within the community of faith. As a result, we learned to think more deeply and consider things more broadly. John let us know that it was all right to be the devil’s advocate without worrying about going to the devil.

OPINION: A place for Panamanian pandemonium
Other Opinions
By Andrew Gardner
Monday, January 21, 2013
During a recent mission trip to Panama, religious order turned into a ballet of chaos and pandemonium. The sanctuary slowly turned into a volleyball court, a soccer field, a football field, a space for arts and crafts and a place to sit back and watch it all take place.
