Media association honors longtime librarianPublished October 27, 2005
The Virginia Baptist Media Library Association honored a longtime church librarian and heard from a national consultant during its fall conference, held Oct 7-8 at Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth. Jamie Hughes of Portsmouth was honored for 40 years of service as a librarian to churches and the Portsmouth Baptist Association. She also has served as president of the Virginia Baptist Media Library Association. Kathy Sedgwick, a consultant with LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, was featured instructor for the conference. The VBMLA’s spring meeting is set for May 19-21 at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center. Special to the Herald |
