O R D I N A T I O N

Phillip E. Barton, associate pastor and minister of education at Hunton Church, Glen Allen, was ordained to the gospel ministry on Nov. 21 by the church.

D E A T H

Former Virginia Baptist pastor Ralph K. Harris died Oct. 31 in Lincolnton, N.C. He had served as pastor of Radford Church, Moneta; Flint Hill Church, Moneta; and Green Valley Church, Lebanon. He is survived by his wife, Daphine; two sons; Doug and Michael Harris; a daughter, Kimberly Hall; and three grandchildren. Interment was in the Centerview Church cemetery in Maiden, N.C.
