Southwest Virginia network announceds first teaching eventsPublished April 14, 2005
The first teaching events of the newly-established Southwest Virginia Christian Leadership Network have been announced. The network is a ministry of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board, providing leadership training for ministers and laypersons in Southwest Virginia. The scheduled events include: • Tools for Biblical Leadership: The Servant Leader: Saturday, May 21, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.), Thomas Village Baptist Church, Duffield. Cost: $10/person (includes box lunch). Led by Gary A. Chapman, Director, Southwest Virginia Christian Leadership Network, and Allen Moyer, Baptist layman and colonel, USAF (ret.) • Tools for Biblical Leadership: The Servant Leader: Tuesday, June 7, 6-9 p.m. (registration begins at 5:30 p.m.), Lebanon Baptist Association building, 29491 Lee Highway, Glade Spring. Cost: $10/person (includes dinner meal) Led by Chapman and Moyer. • Surviving and Growing as a Bi-vocational Minister: Saturday, June 11, 9 a.m.-12 noon, Stuart Baptist Church, Stuart. No charge. Led by Dan Scott, bi-vocational minister, Roanoke.
